Why Attend?

Breast cancer surgery requires balancing effective oncologic treatment with thoughtful consideration of breast contour, scar placement, and aesthetic outcomes.

Designed for general and breast surgeons who have not previously performed oncoplastic surgery, this course provides an introduction to the principles and techniques that can help surgeons incorporate aesthetic considerations into breast cancer surgical planning.

Through online learning and an in-person hands-on skills lab, participants will explore patient assessment and selection, surgical planning, incision placement, tissue management, and commonly used oncoplastic techniques.

What You'll Learn

Participants will build foundational knowledge and practical skills in oncoplastic breast surgery, including:

  • Integrate breast aesthetic assessment, tumor location, and patient anatomy into surgical planning
  • Select incision placement and surgical approaches to optimize oncologic and aesthetic outcomes
  • Apply foundational oncoplastic techniques, including glandular displacement, intramammary flaps, and mammaplasty approaches
  • Manage soft tissue, excess skin, and contour challenges in both breast-conserving and mastectomy procedures
  • Understand Level I and II oncoplastic techniques and when to apply them in practice
  • Utilize patient photography and multidisciplinary collaboration to support surgical planning and follow-up care

What You'll Gain

  • Foundational oncoplastic surgical skills for breast cancer care
  • Confidence in patient selection and surgical planning
  • Techniques to improve lumpectomy and aesthetic outcomes
