Oluwole Ayoola Atoyebi, MBBS FACS

Professor Oluwole Ayoola Atoyebi obtained the MB, BS degree with Honours in 1977, having passed the professional examinations at the College of Medicine of the University of Lagos with distinctions. He bagged the Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College in Surgery (FMCS) in 1990 and thereafter, the Fellowships of the West African College of Surgeons (FWACS), International College of Surgeons (FICS), American College of Surgeons (FACS) and the Nigerian Institute of Management (FNIM}. He also holds the postgraduate Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. Professor Atoyebi was a Consultant Surgeon at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital from 1990 and a Professor of Surgery at the University of Lagos from 2005 before his recent statutory retirement on 9th November 2023. He has published scholarly articles widely in National and International Journals and his publications presently have 1663 citations with h-index of 18 and i10 index of 24.
